Last week’s Temptation Tuesday beach shot seemed quite popular so I’m keeping with the theme this week including this handsome hunk.

Just in case you happened to miss this news, Margaret Cho is coming back to Boston on Saturday, October 10th, as part of her Psycho Tour. A limited number of tickets remain to see her only show in Boston at the Wilbur Theater. I’m going to see if Sergio and I will be in town to catch this show. It has been several years since I last saw Margaret Cho live and she always entertains.
Never seen her before? Check out some of her previous comedy shows on YouTube. Her skit about her mother’s take on “the gays” is one of my favorites. Mom on Gays (a.k.a. Gay Story about Daddy).
This past Saturday the Manhunt Mansion hosted their annual Bubbles pool party to help raise money for Boston’s gay softball team. Music was provided by Gay Jim from KISS 108 FM, food and drink by dbar and naughty gelatinous edible cocktails by Gelology.
Mark your calendars for the next pool party scheduled for Saturday, July 11th to benefit the gay rugby team. I’ll be sure to publish reminders so subscribe to my blog or check back to stay up to date.
Below are some fun photos from the party. Much thanks to everyone who posed.

Yesterday Stephen Colbert released a video mocking US Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Scalia who both dissented on the Marriage Equality ruling. Pity he didn’t take on homophobe Justice Clarence Thomas who’s absurd dissent invoked images of slavery.
“The corollary of that principle is that human dignity cannot be taken away by the government. Slaves did not lose their dignity (any more than they lost their humanity) because the government allowed them to be enslaved. Those held in internment camps did not lose their dignity because the government confined them. And those denied governmental benefits certainly do not lose their dignity because the government denies them those benefits. The government cannot bestow dignity, and it cannot take it away.”
I’m a firm believer that humor is a great way to address touchy subjects. While I doubt this video will change any minds, it is hard to argue with this Australian’s take on America’s love of guns. Much thanks to my sister Susan for sharing; just note that there are a lot of F-bombs in his monologue.

The weekend is nearly here. San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto and NYC will all be celebrating Pride (apologies to cities I may have overlooked). Happy Pride to all on this last weekend of June.
As this post goes live, I’m flying back from NYC to spend time with Sergio and to relax with friends. What will you be doing this weekend?
