Perhaps you heard the collective gasp followed by a squeal of delight when it was announced that Hillary Clinton would return to Provincetown for another fundraiser, this time alongside pop icon Cher. Hillary’s fundraising stop with Cher is scheduled for August 21st from 1-3PM. If you have a boatload of money to donate you can see her but at the time I was writing this post the minimum donation available to get a ticket was $2,700. This makes me still #FeelTheBern but like Sarah Silverman said it is time to stop being ridiculous.
Cher has been incredibly vocal about her dislike of Donald Trump repeatedly using the icon to refer to the Republican Presidential nominee and calling him a con-man. Actually she has used much stronger language, but I’ll leave that to your imagination. Her denunciations led to a rather creative take on Clinton’s campaign slogan and a website created by a fan of both Hillary and Cher.

Bear Week Provincetown 2017 will be July 8th – 16th, 2017 – Book now.
Bear Week in Provincetown now attracts tens of thousands of men from all over the US and the world. Many of those men have started arriving in Boston today so they can take a fast ferry to Ptown Saturday morning for their weekly rental.
Ptown Bears encourages their readers to head over to The Alley early and I would do the same with my readers who may be looking for something different / fun to do tonight. Typically this is one of the busiest nights for The Alley so if you are looking for something different to do, head over to The Alley but don’t be too fashionably late otherwise you will likely be standing in line.
One of my favorite things to do when in Provincetown is to visit the galleries on Friday evenings when many of them open their doors with new exhibits. Tomorrow, Friday, July 8th the Jo Hay Studio now located at 167 Commercial Street opens with their new show, SIMPLY MASCULINE by artist Chris López. The work pays tribute to those who identify as Bears on the eve of Bear Week 2016. Should you happen to visit Provincetown check out this show which runs from Friday, July 8 – Friday, July 15.
You can read more about Chris López and the Jo Hay Gallery, here.
