Have you registered for this year’s Toys for Joys party this coming Saturday?
The event’s venue has moved to Bay Village at the Revere Hotel Boston Common – Space 57. For those of you who may not be familiar with this social party, it helps collect and distribute toys for children in and around Boston who might otherwise not have gifts to open on Christmas day. Unlike many other fundraisers, T4J is devoid of speeches and rubber chicken dinners and is fun event that gets better each year.
Saturday December 6th – RSVP Today HERE!
Check out last year’s video below and for more information about the event visit their website here.
Date/Time: Saturday, December 6th / 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM
Location: 200 Stuart Street

I have previously shared this very Not Safe For Work video and like to re-post it from time to time because I think there is some truth to this very funny video, which parodies the pharmaceutical advertisements you see on television today.
For all you shopaholics take a moment and think about where your patronage not only will find you that perfect gift, but also support your local businesses. This includes everyone turning to the web to make purchases. Think twice before visiting sites like Amazon.com and consider calling or ordering gifts from local, small businesses.
Later today more than 150 tuba players are expected to participate in Boston’s annual Tuba Christmas Concert in Faneuil Hall.
Looking to take a break from the holiday shopping insanity? Head down to Faneuil Hall – concert time is 2PM. For more information visit, faneuilhallmarketplace.com.

“Black Friday” refers to the Friday after Thanksgiving Day and traditionally signifies the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the United States, although in recent years holiday sales have started even prior to Thanksgiving. As a result, Black Friday is routinely the busiest shopping day of the year.
I’m not sure about you, but I’m not much of a shopper (and I detest shopping when it is crowded) so this is more my kind of Black Friday. Have a great day.
A large snowstorm hit northern New England the day before Thanksgiving, transforming New Hampshire’s Lakes Region into a picture perfect winter wonderland. Bright skies and rising temperatures on Thanksgiving made for some spectacular scenes with the green hues of the lake surrounded by the pristine white of the new fallen snow.
The photos are from our evening walk the night before when the snow was piling higher with each passing hour and before the snow plows had a chance to clear the roads.
With the holiday spirit of giving now in full swing I’m hoping that some of you will step forward to volunteer and help The Boston chapter of Gay for Good assemble the Toys for Joys, Inc. – T4J signature wagons in advance of their party.
Please help spread the word and share this post on FB and Twitter
Volunteers are needed Tuesday, December 2nd 6:30 – 8:30 pm
The assembly will take place at Parterre Garden Services which is located between Fresh Pond and Alewife at 67 Smith Place, #12 Cambridge, MA 02138. For more details please visit the G4G Facebook event page.
