That fun gang over at The Welcoming Committee (TWC) is hosting an event in conjunction with the Museum of Science on Thursday, November 7th that you just might want to check out.
TWC members will be heading over to listen to Author Jesse Bering Ph.D talk about his new book, PERV: The Sexual Deviant in All of Us, while sipping cocktails at Bo Concept – located at 999 Mass Ave just outside Harvard Square.

It is election day in the United States today. While most do not have significant elections in this off year, Bostonians are heading to the polls to vote for a new mayor. Mayor Menino will retire next year after serving Boston for the past 20 years, making him the longest serving mayor of a major city in the US; he was first elected in 1993.
I can’t help but feel like this new mayor will be a one-term guy. Similar to “rebound” relationships, after 20+ years, I just don’t see how this new Mayor will be able to step out from under the legacy of Menino so in my mind he’s Boston’s “rebound mayor”.

Theater Offensive Fundraiser: Masquerade
This past Friday I attended the Theater Offensive’s masquerade fundraiser at the Manhunt mansion in Brookline. You always know it is a good party when “Gay” Jim Clerkin from KISS 1o8 FM is spinning music for a party. Jim is such a sweetheart and he always seems to be surrounded by such handsome, friendly guys. #Good2BTheDJ.

I have a Tea Party hangover and wish I could just take two aspirin in the morning and have this go away. Does anyone have a remedy for this persistent headache?
Called a “Rolling Rally” by The Boston Globe, today’s Red Sox World Series Championship parade was incredibly pleasant,thanks to unseasonably warm and sunny weather.
There was a relaxed atmosphere in the crowd that poured in from all over New England and beyond to see the parade. This kid’s sign pretty much sums up Boston’s good fortune in recent years.
I can’t think of any other city in recent years that has dominated in all the major sports leagues, making it truly one of the best places to live if you love sports.

These signs were plastered throughout the Harvard Square T station last week. Yes, it is juvenile but I laughed out loud when I saw them.
If there is a god, he will have made sure this guy suffers from halitosis just to level the playing ground for the rest of us.
Here is a video of members of the St. Louis and Boston Symphony Orchestras talking trash. It gets really interesting when Seiji Ozawa (former Conductor and rabid Red Sox fan makes a surprise appearance and the music begins). I’m sure this video is making everyone in St. Louis cringe, but it is music to my ears.
