Boston Ballet presents: Shades of Sound

Shades of SoundThe Boston Ballet latest production, Shades of Sound, will open on Thursday, March 19th and run through Sunday, March 29th at the Boston Opera House.

The program will include Chroma with one of the largest groups of Boston Ballet Orchestra musicians in its history.  According to the press release the production will also include Episodes and Black Cake.  While I’m not familiar with the second and third presentations, I absolutely love Chroma and am sorry I will not be able to get to the Ballet for opening night or their opening weekend.

If you have not made plans for the weekend and you like contemporary dance, I suggest checking out the Boston Ballet.  Click the link below to learn more about Chroma, Episodes and Black Cake.

#BoycottDolceGabbana

Boycott Dolce Gabbana, #BoycottDolceGabbanaI wasn’t going to comment on the current controversy regarding Stefano Gabbana’s recent comments until he decided to open his mouth again in response to a call for a boycott of D&G products initiated by Sir Elton John and quickly picked up by many others in the gay community.

This is so reminiscent of Guido Barilla’s, Chairman of Barilla Group, comments in 2013.  It begs the question can the Italians join the rest of the world in the 21st century? Who would’ve ever guessed that the current Pope would prove to be a better friend than the founders of D&G?  I’m terribly disappointed in Stefano Gabbana and his one time partner, Dominico Dolce.  Their concept of what a healthy family looks like is terribly flawed and while they have a right to their opinion they clearly don’t understand who their buyers are. Insulting one of your most important group of buyers is an odd way to foster brand loyalty. Somehow I don’t see creeps like Senator Rick Santorum and Senator Ted Cruz buying D&G. Maybe Dolce & Gabbana can team up with Chick-fil-A.

Realm health and fitness tips from Kyle

Soldiers Field StadiumHate doing cardio? Check out the November Project.  This local group that is now in nearly 20 cities in the US and Canada might change your opinion.

There is something invigorating about working out alongside a team and something very lonely and monotonous about working out alone. For most of us, the camaraderie, support, and accountability you get from a group workout is unparalleled in comparison to our intrinsic drive to get out of bed in the morning.

The November-Project addresses this issue by hosting “meet up” workouts in Boston at 6:30 am each Wednesday and Friday.  The Boston chapter will put you through a grueling gauntlet with up to 300 people. If you’d like to start your own group or join them then visit their website, november-project.com.

The Guys Next Door Kickstarter campaign

gay daddy, gay parenting, same sex householdThere are gay daddies and then there are gay daddies.  While one variety you tend to only meet online or out at a bar or club, the latter is more pervasive but not always visible.  In 2013 The Williams Institute estimated that as many as 6 million children are being raised in same sex households.

gay parenting, gay dad, same sex householdA Kickstarter campaign was started to help fund a new movie called The Guys Next Door.  This movie invites you into the home of Erik and Sandro, a married gay couple with two daughters, birthed by their friend Rachel who has a family of her own. Award-winning filmmakers, Allie Humenuk and Amy Geller, follow this extended family for 3+ years capturing life as it unfolds. Told with humor and grace, this feature-length documentary is a poignant and inspiring story of family, friendship and gay rights.

Max is joined by Willam Belli in this episode and they discuss how to avoid VPL – Visible Penis Line – a serious issue for handsome underwear (and aspiring underwear) models.  Enjoy the funny and pg-13 video.

NYC real estate broker Ryan Serhant drops trou

Apparently Million Dollar Listing New York broker (and exhibitionist), Ryan Serhant, has dropped trou and gone au natural in an attempt to get more attention under the guise of needing to sell a property.

I have to admit the article caught my attention and I’d be inclined to check out Ryan’s next open house so perhaps he’s on to something.  Like Samantha Fox use to say, “If you have it; flaunt it” – flaunt away Ryan.  If you’d like to read the article or see another more revealing photograph of Ryan check out the article here.
