2012 Atlantis Caribbean Cruise on the Allure

I’ve recently returned from my first cruise.  There were eight of us in total who joined thousands of gay men from around the world for the Atlantis seven day cruise through the Western Caribbean.

Perhaps you’re curious to see what one of these cruises is like. It’s impossible to capture everything – there is too much to see and do, but here is a quick 5 minute video of my take on the 2012 Atlantis Caribbean Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas.

Urinal etiquette

Worth revisiting and completely safe to view at work although you may need to stifle a laugh or two.  The video actually ends shortly after 4 minutes.

Sh*t gay guys say…

I’m not sure I’ve said everything in this 75-second video but it certainly made me chuckle.  I think this might be more of a “West coast” gay vernacular.

I think I could come up with some pretty funny phrases guys in Boston and the Northeast are more prone to say. Words that come to mind “Provincetown” and “Boatslip.

Phrases you might hear locally, “He lives on the Red Line, I live on the Green Line; it wasn’t going to work.” and “Dorchester isn’t that far away.

What might you add to the list?

Kylie Minogue – Get outta my way

Last year the models of Randy Blue made a video tribute to Kylie Minogue. I cannot think of a better way to start my Friday than listening to Kylie and watching this video chalk-full of shirtless, sexy men.

James Dean film: Joshua Tree 1951

Later this year Joshua Tree, 1951, a new movie that takes a look at 1950s Hollywood hunk, James Dean, will hopefully be released.

Dean’s role is being played by the very good looking James Preston.  If you watch the two minute video below you will notice the filmmaker plays up the rumors of Dean’s bisexuality and by casting the very handsome Dan Glenn as James Dean’s roommate, Robert Gant (remember him from Queer As Folk) as “the famous director” and a host of other equally attractive men, it is sure to appeal to the gay community.

I have no idea how far these rumors are pursued in the film but I’m intrigued.

According to the Out.com article, which first made me aware of the film, a distributor has yet to be signed so keep your fingers crossed that this will be visiting an independent theater in your town soon.

SNL skit: Chantix – Real People Real Stories

Last week’s SNL had Charles Barkley as a the host.  Despite the fact that he had hosted the show two times previously, he still appeared stiff.  Its amazing that he can be so funny on air but the minute he has to do a skit he sounds like a robot. One of the better bits from the last SNL was this fake advertisement for Chantix.

No Pants Subway Ride – thank you

On Sunday, January 8th Boston participated in the 5th Annual “No Pants Subway Ride”.  This year we decided to dress as superheroes, and I have to admit we were pretty successful at turning more than a few heads (not to mention making several young kids squeal with delight at seeing their favorite superheroes).

I’d like to say thank you to the following media outlets and bloggers for sharing the video I created on YouTube.  The following day, Monday, January 9th was the busiest day ever for my blog and these individuals were responsible for making that possible.

2012 Boston No Pants Subway Ride

On Sunday, January 8th hundreds of men and women descended upon Dewey Square to partake in the Boston chapter’s Society of Spontaneity’s annual “No Pants Subway Ride”.

This was the 5th annual event in Boston which is also hosted in cities around the world.  The video below is more cheeky than naughty (as we saw from the advertising) it is far less revealing than the billboards and signs you will see if you ride the subway in Boston.

Spontaneous cheers were regularly heard through out the subway from young kids. Parents were horrified to see their children run from them to hug and ask their favorite superheroes why they were in Boston.  And security in the Copley Mall had all they could do to stop people from photographing the two superheroes who were walking to the post party at King’s in Back Bay.

Bills, Bills, Bills by Glee’s Darren Criss

Have bills from your holiday spending started to arrive?

Maybe this video of the charming Darren Criss and the Glee cast singing a cool mash up of Destiny’s Child – Bills Bills Bills – will put a smile on your face. I hope the damage to your wallet was not too severe and the holidays were good to you.

Room Service video

Although there is no nudity, this is most definitely NSFW (not safe for work). However, I do think its funny and thought I’d share the video which is chalk full of gorgeous men.

The UK video is entitled, Room Service: The Sex Tape Part 2, and it includes London DJ, Jodie Harsh. Still not sure if its his mix that is playing through out the video, but I do love the music accompanying the over-the-top clip.  Thanks to Ministry of Pleasure blog for bringing this to my attention.

Ray of Wonder… Wonder Woman vs. Madonna

James Cerne is a local artist who adds a lot of color to the Boston gay scene.  He recently pulled together a 5 minute video combining Madonna’s song Ray of Light with scenes from the popular Wonder Woman television series from the late 1970s.  Linda Carter spins, jumps and catches bad guys all to the disco beat of Madonna’s song.  It’s a guilty viewing pleasure, enjoy.

Wham “Last Christmas”

Time to gay up the BosGuy blog to get ready for Christmas and nothing says “gay” quite like Wham.  Enjoy this holiday ditty from George and Andrew.

Try not to laugh too hard at the “straight acting” George Michael who actually has better hair and prettier lips than any of the female models in the video.

Ab Fab on the Kardashians

Have you seen the Ab Fab video about the Kardashians?

Check out this hilarious 30-second clip. It’s fab, dahling.

Edina: “Look there’s a new disease called Kardashians darling…”

Thanks for the heads up Julian.

Santa Speedo Run

The weather in Boston was in the low 40s and windy when the 12th Annual Santa Speedo Run started.  This annual tradition, brings hundreds of men and women into Back Bay to run in a variety of speedos and boxers, raising money for a local charity.

This year’s run was a bit more chaotic than in past years with the Boston Police Dept. showing up late to the party.  Without a police presence, crowds lining the streets forced the normally busy Boylston Street to one lane and Newbury Street was jammed resulting in less time for runners to pose and play both before and after the run. However, I hope you enjoy this year’s video. I was down one photographer as Sergio decided to participate. Do you see him?

Today’s run will raise approximately $250,000 which will go to benefit the Play Ball Foundation.  To learn more about this year’s charity and the Santa Speedo Run, visit their website ssrunners.org.
