ABSolutely amazing

GayI try not to make every other post be a photograph of some hunky guy because I know there are a lot of other blogs that do that sort of thing way better than me.  However, I couldn’t resist posting this photo when I saw it on Kevinism’s blog.

What time is it

I love clocksYes, it is juvenile, but I still think this is funny.

NYC in the summah

Weekend in NYCI’m in New York City this evening for a day of meetings that start tomorrow. I love visiting NYC in the middle of the week during the summer.

The city that never sleeps seems to slow down a bit in the summer months, provided you stay away from the tourist traps.  I won’t have much free time on this trip but hope to get over to Hell’s Kitchen tonight for a bite to eat.  Anyone want to suggest where I should go? I was thinking of checking out Boxers on 9th Ave.

Pampering in Ptown

Miro MassageAre you heading to Provincetown in the coming weeks?  Are you looking for a bit of pampering?  My buddy Miro who I wrote about last year in this post and earlier this summer in this post, works as a massage therapist. He can make house calls or you can schedule an appointment at his studio in the East End.  I consider Miro a friend and wanted to give him a shout out to let  people know about his massage services.

Schedule an appointment by texting: (617) 519-5189

Miro describes his style as a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Sport massage.  My partner Sergio is a fan and has been getting massages from Miro for the past few years when we visit Ptown. I confess I’ve never had a massage, but I can tell you that Sergio always returns relaxed and feeling great.  Miro’s rates are competitive at $90 for one hour or $130 for 90 minutes.

Want to schedule a bit of pampering while in Ptown? Check out my buddy Miro.  You can contact Miro by phone to learn more about his services or to set up an appointment by texting, (617) 519-5189.

Manhunt birthday party for Jonathan Crutchley

Jonathan CrutchleyThe dating and online gay community better known as Manhunt is based here in Boston and this past weekend one of the co-founders, Jonathan Crutchley, celebrated his birthday with a party at the Manhunt Mansion.

A friendly crowd spent a sunny, warm Sunday celebrating, while KISS 108 personality and DJ, Gay Jim, played music and the staff of dBar & Boston Chops poured drinks and manned the grill.

Suddenly it makes sense

suddenly it makes senseI know that my Brazilian friends are cuckoo for soccer (or football as they call it).  Suddenly the appeal of this sport makes all sort of sense to me. I may need to go check out a New England Revolution game this year.

How to look good in a speedo

handsome menLater today I’ll be heading to another pool party so I thought I’d share this video that has been making the rounds on the web. The clip gives 5 tips on how to look good in a speedo. I’m not a speedo kind of guy, but I fully expect to see many of these at the pool party later today and I’m okay with that.

Scruffy Sunday

Shortest horror story ever

Shortest Horror Story

I think this is a real life horror story we can all relate to.

All male review comes to Crown and Anchor

ProvincetownHeading to Provincetown for the week? Seems like a show worth checking out if you are there.  You know how much I like to champion the arts.

South End restaurant gossip

Not all gossip is good and in the case of Yakitori Zai – the Japanese barbecue restaurant that opened in June – the rumors that I’ve heard are definitely not good.  The remodeling signs that are in the windows of this newly renovated restaurant are due to the brand new ventilation system that the owner installed.Yakitori Zai South End Boston I don’t know all the details but rumor has it the issue is that Yakitori Zai’s new ventilation flumes are visible from the street. I hope there is more to the story, because the South End certainly has far more significant blights; one need only look left from Yakitori Zai to see the abandoned and crumbling Sahara Restaurant – talk about a blight to the neighborhood.South End Boston

Fortunately, I have more exciting, albeit more ambiguous gossip to share about the eagerly awaited Five Horses Tavern. My curiosity got the best of me and I walked over to the restaurant the other day. I was able to meet one of the owners – Sarah Hanson – who walked me through the property.

Five Horses South End BostonI promised Sarah I wouldn’t say anything about the work they did, but for those familiar with the Columbus Cafe space – be prepared to be pleasantly surprised. This team has done a remarkable job and the space is both much better designed and beautiful.  The neighborhood should be very excited to have this property – I know I’ll be checking them out when they open shortly.
