Dinner and a movie? A night out with friends? Lewd texts back and forth via Grindr? Date night can be many things, but one thing it isn’t is staying at home alone so get off your couch and go out.
Anyone who knows my crazy partner, Sergio, knows that he’s hardly camera shy; quite the opposite actually. I’m the one who dislikes being photographed – unless I think the photo is funny like this one of me How do you like my duck?
Apparently my goofy sense of humor has rubbed off because earlier this week when we were walking to Towne for dinner Sergio said “quick, take a picture of me” and before I realized it he had hopped on the gate and struck this pose.
If you are like me, it seems like every summer there is a song that you hear so often you can’t help but associate it with the season. From the first moment I heard this song by Daft Punk I was hooked.
This week’s Furry Friday won’t appeal to those who like the boy next door look, but if you enjoy someone who looks like trouble, I think you might just go weak in the knees with this week’s guy.
Each Friday morning I post a riddle to get you to think outside the box and exercise your brain. If you are stumped, share it with a friend or colleague to see if you can figure it out together.
I’ll confirm answers later in the day so don’t worry if you don’t see your comment posted right away. I want to give everyone a chance.
This weeks riddle: Which city is three fifth chick two third cat and 50% goat ?
This past winter I first wrote that the Red Bull Cliff Diving contest would return to Boston this summer for the third year in a row in this post.
One month from today on August 25th that competition will return to Boston. I’ll be out of town and miss the fun, but I wanted to encourage anyone in the Boston area to mark this on their calendar to come down and enjoy this free, fun event along Boston’s waterfront. I’ve included below a quick video from the first diving contest in Boston from 2011.

This movie may be one of my all time favorite “gay films”. I had the chance last year to talk to Ms. Coco Peru about the scene (shown below) when I met her in Provincetown. I told her I still laugh when I watch this clip, although it is more funny in the context of the movie for certain.
Did you ever see the movie Trick? It came out in 1999 and starred Tori Spelling, Christian Campbell (shown above with Ms. Coco Peru) and John Paul Pitoc.
Need an incentive to get yourself to the gym and to be more active in general? If the handsome posts of shirtless men won’t motivate you perhaps the horror of identifying with this hilarious depiction of the many types of ‘man boobs’ will do the trick. Much thanks to Twitter bud, @Onerebeldevil for sharing.
There are only a few careers which by their very nature double as heroes and firemen embody this heroic figure better than most. Throw in a cool uniform and you have the perfect gay icon. I know my good friend Slobodan would agree. 😉
There is really no point to this post other than the photo above includes two of my favorite things – a handsome guy and a glass of wine. I plan on spending much of my time in Provincetown wearing little more than this and enjoying both some good wine and chatting with all the handsome guys visiting Ptown.
Sergio and I are heading back to Provincetown this morning via the fast ferry. This is our first visit since early July, and I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with good friends. Posting and comment approval may be a bit erratic while I”m gone – thank you for your patience.
I’ll be in Provincetown and unable to attend, but if you don’t already have plans, check out this fun event on Thursday. Be sure to call or email the phone and address provided above to let them know you are coming.
