Such a handsome couple and cute photo. I posted this a few years ago after a reader shared it with me and I thought it was time to dust it off and re-post.

Murray Bartlett, Lauren Weedman, Raúl Castillo, Jonathan Groff, and Frankie J. Alvarez in Looking: The Movie (2016)
One month from today on Saturday, July 23rd HBO will air a long anticipated finale to the short lived gay drama, Looking.
In the movie trailer, Patrick returns to San Francisco to attend a friend’s wedding after having moved away. When he sees his former boyfriends old feelings emerge and the closure he thought he had now doesn’t seem so clear. Earlier this week HBO released the trailer, and it made the rounds on many gay blogs, but if you’ve yet to see it, check it out here.
More information on the series here, www.hbo.com/looking.
This week’s post features one of my favorite writers of all time, Oscar Wilde, with his lover, Sir Alfred Douglas before Oscar was imprisoned for “gross indecency”. Whatever our issues are today, we have it far easier than those who came before us, and I always make it a point to remind myself how lucky I am.
Believe it or not Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was released 30 years ago and to commemorate the hilarious 80’s comedy it will play on the Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision center field video board at Fenway Park on Wed., June 29th.
To ensure the best viewing, seating will be in the lower seating bowl and along the first baseline. The movie will take place rain or shine. General admission tickets are $10 and $5 for children. Fenway’s gates open at 7:00 and the movie will start at 8:15.
I like to think of my blog as an important, educational site that can help you expand your vocabulary. Today’s vocabulary word is Basket.
Basket (ˈbaskət/noun)
Definition: A reference to the outline of the male genital area as viewed through pants, swimsuit or underwear – also commonly referred to as “package”.
Example: I could distinctly see a VPL on that guy’s package when he walked by.
Each Wednesday morning I post a photograph and ask readers to offer a funny caption. Much thanks to Matt from boyculture for posting this photo last month. Hopefully the caption below will inspire you to share a few captions.

Over the past several weeks I’ve had two business trips to San Francisco; each lasting a week. Unfortunately when I travel for work I have little spare time to enjoy myself, but one week ago when I was wandering through Chinatown I stumbled upon this restaurant. I didn’t end up going in but I’ve been chuckling about it ever since. Hope it brings a smile to you.
One month from today the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company will open their nearly 3 week run of free Shakespeare on the Boston Common. This year’s production will feature one of the Bard’s comedies: Love’s Labour’s Lost. The play draws on themes of masculine love and desire, reckoning and rationalization, and reality versus fantasy.
Love’s Labour’s Lost
Directed by Steven Maler
July 20 – August 7, 2016
FREE and open to the public
I will write more about the free performances later this summer. Please plan on coming down to the Boston Common one night with friends or maybe a special friend to enjoy the production directed by Steven Maler and the excellent cast.

Tomorrow, Monday, June 20 Opus Affair heads over to my favorite patio bar at Cinquecento in the South End (the restaurant also has free parking). Join them as they play host to a friendly crowd mostly comprised of 20-, 30- and 40-somethings at their monthly cocktail social which runs from 6pm – 9pm.
Unfamiliar with Opus Affair? The group is comprised of a mix of artists and art appreciators who get together each month for cocktails and to chat about the arts scene in Boston or whatever else comes to mind. Some people come for serious networking, others come for fun. There’s no agenda—just a chance to have a few drinks with other like-minded folks.
For more details and to RSVP (it is free) link here.
