4th of July celebrations in Boston

If you are in the United States, I hope you’ve been able to enjoy the day. The celebration in Boston will culminate with an elaborate fireworks display synchronized to music that starts at 9:30pm ET.
Free fun Fridays return to Boston
Thanks to the Highland Street Foundation, Free fun Friday’s has returned to Boston. The program started this past Friday and runs through the end of August.
Each week six museums and cultural venues will be free and open to the public. Starting tomorrow, July 5th, the Peabody Essex Museum (P.E.M.) in Salem, is free thanks to the Highland Foundation Free Fun Fridays.

Independence Day
July 4th is the day that Americans celebrate our Independence. I’m celebrating the holiday in Provincetown. Should you be in Ptown, please say hello if you see me out.
Schweddy Fourth
Fingahs crossed that this week’s forecast is correct because Provincetown is the perfect place to escape to when it gets wicked hot like this.
For those unfamiliar, 90F = 32C – or as I call it, purrfect.
Ptown or bust
I leave on the 2PM high speed Provincetown ferry but will be blogging and tweeting from this tiny town at the tip of the Cape through the weekend. If you happen to celebrate July 4th, have a wonderful and safe Independence Day.
Blink! A light and sound extravaganza
Blink! A Light and Sound Extravaganza returns to Faneuil Hall Marketplace for a special summer edition. You may recall that this light show that covers nearly every part of the marketplace, was first presented this past December. It has been recreated with a summer edition featuring the song Dirty Water by The Standells and will have nightly shows through Labor Day.
