Thought I’d start 2019 off with a seriously tempting post. I hope you enjoy it.

Since today is New Year’s Eve day, and tomorrow is a holiday I’ll refrain from posting my usual “What’s Happening This Week” and leave you with this image.
I suggest that you choose the color of your underwear wisely. If you’re in a sharing mood, leave the color of underwear you plan to wear tonight in the comments section.
Most of you likely have plans for New Year’s Eve. Sergio and I typically order out and watch movies; switching to watch the ball drop in Times Square at Midnight then crawling into bed with hopes that we will strike it rich in the New Year, quit our jobs and travel for the rest of our lives.
You too may have plans for New Year’s Eve but in case those plans fall through or you are procrastinating and wondering what you can do, I’ve pulled together a list of options for you to consider. Many of these parties require tickets or have a cover at the door so click the link to learn more if interested.

ADAM & ANDY is set in the fictional New England town of Woodfield, CT and centers on who else but Adam and Andy, a fun-loving couple who can sometimes seem to be quite different but who clearly care about each other. Included below is the cast of regulars who appear in this weekly comic strip.
This week the creator of Adam and Andy shared his Christmas Eve and Day post which would be slightly out of sync with my Saturday morning posts so I thought I’d give his new book a shout out for any fans of the comic strip or as a potential gift for someone you think would enjoy it. “Adam & Andy The Definitive Collection” as the book is called includes comics from 2015 – 2018, selected classics, character profiles and is available in paperback or hardcover.
You can purchase a copy by visiting, adamandandy.com.
Since the Federal Government (specifically the US Congress and President) cannot seem to meet their minimum responsibilities of keeping the lights on I thought I would share these “Shutdown Cocktails” offered at D.C.’s Capitol Lounge. If the shutdown is still in effect on New Year’s Eve perhaps you may want to consider serving your own party themed shutdown cocktails.
FYI we are currently experiencing the third government shutdown in the Trump administration, which is amazing when you consider this has all happened while Republicans control the Executive Branch and both the US Senate and House of Representatives. #Fail

In November I wrote about a potential new ferry service that was being pitched to help shuttle commuters between North Station and the Seaport. Earlier this month, several employers notified their employees that starting in mid-January the service would begin thanks to their support in underwriting the cost of the service; at this point it appears the service will be free to those employees but it is not clear if the service will be available to the general public.
The service will be managed by the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) and will take 18 minutes, running between North Station’s Lovejoy Wharf (by the Converse HQ) and Fan Pier (by the ICA Boston). Ferries will operate every 20 minutes Monday – Friday in the morning between 6:20AM – 9:40AM and in the afternoon / evening between 3:20PM – 7:00PM.
1/11/19 UPDATE: Ferry Service originally scheduled to begin the week of January 14th has been pushed back to start in early February due to ongoing work on the Lovejoy Wharf.
The ferries will have an indoor capacity for 92-passengers and climate control to make the commute as comfortable as possible.
I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Boxing Day is always on December 26th. It is not a recognized holiday here in the U.S. but is a bank or public holiday in many of the Commonwealth Nations.
A very good friend and blogger (her blog is Life Food Wine), who is originally from Manchester, U.K. started hosting a Boxing Day Dinner party back in 2008 and nearly every year since she has played the role of gracious host serving some memorable meals for friends each Boxing Day. When she moved to Chicago earlier this year, I thought the tradition would come to an end. However, she has been my guest this week so it appears we will be able to have at least one more celebration (at my place with Tracey playing the role of host and chef as usual). Tonight we plan to make the most of what is quite possibly the last Boxing Day dinner party by drinking more wine than we should, eating a delicious dinner and playing foolish party games late into the evening.
Happy Boxing Day
Unsure why Nakahiro Ito who goes also by the name of Howard is a fitness model, trainer and go go dancer based out of Taiwan. As you might expect, Nakahiro or Howard has no body fat and is very handsome.
Most of Nkahiro’s photos are selfies like the one above, but he is also prone to showing a bit of skin like this photo as well as a video every once in a while. I highly recommend you follow Nakahiro. His pictures always leave me smiling when he appears in my feed.
