Harvard Sex Week

Harvard Sex WeekFor the past few years Harvard has been hosting something they call,  “Sex Week“, where they take a closer look at topics like love and sexuality.

The week long event which started on Sunday, November 2nd will run through Saturday, November 8th and is free and open to the public.  So here is your chance to tell your friends and family that you are taking a class at Harvard.  Some of the classes that caught my eye include:

Tuesday, Nov. 4th at 5PM:  What What in the Butt: Anal Sex 101

Wednesday, Nov. 5th at 7PM:  #HearingOurStories: A Digital Story Screening

Thursday, Nov. 6th at 6PM: Jungle Fever: On Exotification

Friday, Nov. 7th at 4:30PM:  Fifty Shades of False:  Kink, Fantasy and Fetish

Saturday, Nov. 8th at 4:30PM:  Love @ First Swipe: Online Hookup Culture

You can check out the full agenda of Harvard’s 2014 Sex Week here.

Facebook drama

LIke BosGuy Blog FB Page 2More than a few of you noticed that my public persona “BosGuy” suddenly changed on Facebook a couple weeks ago.  Facebook ambushed me and gave me an ultimatum to use my real name or my account would immediately be deleted.

Facebook has always been a distribution channel for my blog posts, and now that the page is no longer “BosGuy” it seems out of place so if you ‘befriended’ me to follow my posts, please like my blog’s page: BosGuy Blog Page.

The page now known as Robert Wilson will no longer host blog posts. Over the next few weeks I will ‘de-friend’ many.  This isn’t intended to hurt feelings but the Bos Guy page now known as “Robert Wilson” will actually reflect those with whom I spend time.

To stay current with my blog please like and follow the BosGuy Blog Page.

Thank you

Boston Athenaeum open house 12-4PM today

Boston AthenaeumLast week I wrote about today’s Boston Athenaeum open house which is today from Noon to 4PM.  With the weekend weather in Boston a bust, finding cool things to do indoors is a must so check out the open house.

Did you know the Boston Athenaeum is one of the oldest independent libraries in the US? It is also one of only sixteen extant membership libraries; meaning that patrons pay a yearly subscription fee to use the Athenæum’s service.

Saturday night video: Time Warp

Halloween was just last night and Boston is still embracing the holiday so this seems like an appropriate video to share this evening. I like the subtitles in Italian, but mostly I just like that there wasn’t an annoying commercial that played before I watched it so I posted this version.

Now you can buy alcohol on Sunday mornings in MA

State Liquor licenseDid you know that starting last Sunday, you can now purchase alcohol starting at 10 a.m. – instead of waiting until 12 Noon?

WBUR.org shares more information on this inn their post, Mass. “Blue Laws” Change to Allow Liquor Stores to Sell Alcohol 2 Hours Earlier on Sunday.

Hotel review: Westin Times Square

Gay Travel, NYCWhile I am not a fan of staying in Midtown and prefer neighborhoods like SoHo and Tribeca, I often stay in Midtown because that is where my office is located.

Last month when I visited NYC my usual hotel was booked so I had to look elsewhere and ended up staying at the Westin Times Square, which is on 8th Ave by 43rd Street.

Despite the hassle of Times Square which I could do without, the hotel is conveniently located on the cusp of Hell’s Kitchen; a great neighborhood.

This 45-story tower is an impressive property with all the amenities you would want and come to expect from a Westin Hotel.  I had no issues with the internet connection and enjoyed my expansive view of Manhattan during my stay. Travel, Gay Travel, NYCGay Travel, NYCIf you are planning a trip to NYC and want to be near Hell’s Kitchen, this is certainly a property you may want to consider.  The rooms are spacious and conveniently set up for one to work, relax and enjoy their stay.

BosGuy brain teaser

BosGuy brain teaserEach Friday morning I post a riddle to get you to think outside the box and exercise your brain. If you are stumped, feel free to get help – share it with a friend or colleague to see if you can figure it out together.

This week I have a Halloween themed riddle that was given to me by a school teacher.  I’ll confirm answers later in the day so don’t worry if you don’t see your comment posted right away. I want to give everyone a chance.

This week’s riddle:  What do you get when you cross a black cat with a lemon?
