BosGuy caricature
Earlier this week Sergio proudly showed me this picture and said “Here… this is you.” I’m not sure that I see the resemblance, but I thought it was cute of him to make a BosGuy caricature.
If you like it, there is a free app that you can use to make caricature of yourself called Face Your Manga.
Cinderonce
Toderick Hall who created the very funny, Mean Gurlz video earlier this year, now has a new video out called, Cinderonce. The video is Hall’s creative interpretation of the fairy tale classic, Cinderella, as told through Beyonce’s music. I love the video, but I recognize your appreciation is directly related to how much you like Ms. Sasha Fierce.

Kristof Buntinx designs underwear protesting Russian LGBT laws
Russian designer, Kristoff Buntinx, is launching a new line of boxer underwear to protest Russia’s homophobic laws that essentially make being gay illegal. His designs blend the LGBT rainbow with Russian symbols as a way to poke fun at the laws and allow Russians a private way to protest laws without risking jail sentences.
Called “From Russia With Love”, Buntix is now working with photographer Herman Van Gestel to create a gay themed calendar of men in the boxers that they hope to release in late September.
Want to read more? Check out Kristoff Buntix website, www.kristofbuntix.com you can also check out the making of the calendar in this report from TV Brussel – note this isn’t in English, but somehow I think most of you will not mind.

Red Bull cliff diving in Boston on Sunday
Tomorrow, the Red Bull cliff diving competition returns to Boston. This amazing world competition that takes place in Europe, South America and Asia makes its only stop in North America in Boston on Sunday, August 25th.
Competitors dive from a platform erected atop Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art on Fan Pier in the Seaport district. If you’ve never seen this spectacle, I’d encourage you to come down and check it out. The competition commences at 2pm ET and is free to the public.
I’ve included below a quick video from the first diving contest in Boston from 2011.
Have a good weekend

Provincetown Carnival 2014 theme: Superheroes

Although this year’s Carnival parade in Provincetown is yet to start, Commercial Street is chalk full of guys in Las Vegas themed costumes, in anticipation of the parade. I’ll be posting pictures from this year’s celebration and hope all the fun entices those of you who have never been to come and join in all the fun next year when Carnival’s theme will give a nod to Comic Book Characters / Superheroes.
Not sure which superhero best represents your personality? Check out this online quiz to give you ideas for the costume you should wear at Ptown’s 2014 Carnival celebration, Superhero Quiz.
Facebook introduces the “meh” icon
Sadly I jest. Facebook is not introducing this icon, but I find the “like” button to be one-dimensional and while I don’t expect to see a middle finger or thumbs down icon anytime soon, I think we should start a campaign to get Facebook to create a “meh” icon.
Just think how popular this would be in some communities. Many otherwise sedate Jewish and Gay users would probably get so emotional with this new option they’re likely to get all verklempt.
